Levels of Care

SKILLED NURSING FACILITY

Our Nursing home offer 24-hour a day care for those who can no longer live independently. We provide trained medical professionals who provide specialized care to seniors with severe illnesses or injuries. J.H. Floyd Sunshine Manor specializes in short-term, acute nursing care, intermediate care and long-term skilled nursing care. The facility accepts Private Pay, Medicare, Insurance, Medicaid and Hospice.

ASSISTED LIVING

Sunshine Meadows is an Assisted Living Facility. This facility is an excellent alternative to nursing homes for seniors who need help with their daily routines, but who do not need 24-hour care. This Assisted Living Facility is licensed by the State of Florida and provides help to the residents with their activities of daily living or ADL's. These ADL's can include dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, supervision of medications, and three meals a day plus snacks. In addition, we provide transportation to and from medical appointments as well as providing social activities and outings. This facility accepts Private Pay, Medicaid Waiver, Assisted Care Services (ACS) and Optimal State Supplement (OSS).

INDEPENDENT LIVING

There are two Independent Living Facilities on the Campus. J.H. Floyd Sunshine Village, Inc., is a 59 unit apartment complex while Meadow Park Independent Living, Inc. is a 44 unit complex. Both are subsidized by the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development. The Independent Living Apartments offer a comfortable life style for those retired citizens 62 years of age or older with a mobility impairment that allows them to remain independent and active. J.H. Floyd Sunshine Village does accept citizens under 62 years of age if they are considered handicapped or disabled (mobility impaired). Rent is based on 30% of adjusted income.
